Born in England and raised in Canada, Ian has been building things since as long as he can remember. Using cardboard, he expands on his colour illustrations creating full size mock-ups. Complete fabrication, electrical testing and finally installation are all carefully planned.

The Fruits of Her Labour
Friederike Rahn makes utilitarian tableware with strong decorative elements. She works with both terra cotta and white earthenware clay bodies, with multiple layers of slips, terra sigillata, underglazes and coloured glazes.

These pieces are inspired by my passion of colour and pattern. The murrine rollup process is a rewarding marriage of right brain/left brain thinking. The pieces are influenced from repeated patterns found in Middle Eastern textiles, butterfly wings & the paintings and buildings by Hundertwasser.

Jewellery and small objects incorporating internal space through folding, hollow forming and classic construction techniques are the focus of "Convolutions". Suggested in these pieces are contemporary themes of secrecy, duality and privacy.

Cityscapes crown the rims of earth coloured bowls; whimsical figures circumscribe the sides. Floating above; birds, planes, bugs, radio waves, and street-junk fly high-wire from every chimney like wild bouquets.
