The 36th annual Circle Craft Christmas Market has wrapped up and was once again a great success and kick-off to the holiday season. Attendees were able to meet and mingle with fine artisans from BC and Canada, watch glass blowing and woodturning demos, and enjoy young Lower Mainland talent on our Entertainment Stage and via our third annual student art exhibition.
Holiday shoppers were able to purchase hand-made high quality unique craft items for their loved ones as well as enter to win great prizes through donations to the Sharing Tree with proceeds going to local charities.
We thank everyone who came down this year for helping make the show such a great one and for supporting our local craft. (Circle Craft, which produces the Circle Craft Christmas Market, is a co-operative made up of BC craftspeople.)
If you didn’t make it down this year, or you meant to get back one more time and didn’t, or maybe you didn’t quite get your fill, come down and check out our Granville Island Shop where you’ll find many BC Circle Craft members’ work on display and for sale, several who were at this year’s Market. The Circle Craft Shop & Gallery is located at: 1 - 1666 Johnston Street, Net Loft Granville Island, Vancouver.
We’re already looking ahead and are excited about our 37th annual Market, which will take place November 17 to 21, 2010—in the new WEST BUILDING of the Vancouver Convention Centre. Guests will find hundreds of Canadian and BC artisans presenting their wares at Western Canada’s largest craft fair. There’ll be festive fashion by independent Canadian designers, fine jewellery, clay work, metal, glass, wonderful toys, and more – distinctive hand-crafted items that make for the most special gifts for friends and family!
